Our Story

we have been married for over 5 years.

We met on a flight traveling from Paris to Atlanta, we were both heading back to the U.S. after vacationing in Europe. My husband started asking me about my vacation, and we began talking for the majority of the 8-hour flight learning about each other. As we exited the plane, we exchanged phone numbers. We knew a special connection was made. We made plans to meet about 2 weeks later, and soon began dating and were engaged 3 years later. Ways we continue to stay connected is by sharing our feelings and having open conversations with each other.

Our Home and Community

WE LIVE IN A WONDERFUL SUBURBAN NEIGHBORHOOD IN TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA.

Our neighborhood is nestled among rolling hills and live oak trees that line canopy roads and shade park-goers. We have a cute house with 3 bedrooms and a large yard with lots of room to play. Our house is close to hiking trails and parks. Our house is the house that Mevlut bought when he first moved to Tallahassee and we have loved updating it over the years.

Our hope is that as you read and learn about us, such as our love for cooking and enjoying the outdoors - you can envision your child doing all these things. We will be intentional in spending time and finding ways to bond with your child, whether that be playing board games, reading books together, or even just watching a movie with them.

We will take a parenting approach that is caring, accepting and sensitive. In this process, we will continue to get to know him or her better in order to identify and respond to their needs. Your child will be encouraged to express themselves and with our support can unfold their full potential. Your child will be our beginning to growing our family size. Sibling relationships are important to us and we want your child to have a sibling to grow up together with. We will raise your child in an environment surrounded by people who cherish life and all God’s gifts. Your child will grow up in a home based on faith and love.

We will communicate with you and he or she will grow up knowing their adoption story. If you would like to be included in special events like the child’s birthday by receiving letters and pictures, we promise to continue to make those available. More than anything, we want you to know that we will love your child unconditionally and raise him or her with all the laughter, education, fun, and love we can offer.
