We are an open book and have done our best to put together a snapshot of who we are. While not everything can possibly fit into this profile, but we hope it gives you an idea of who we are. About Us

Our story began at Illinois State University in the Department of Agriculture while decorating for homecoming and 9 years later along with 5 years of marriage we are incredibly thankful to be in the others life.

Both of us grew up on a farm, instilling passion for agriculture into our hearts from an early age. Sam works for the family farming operation and metal fabrication business based out of Athens, IL. Every day he helps contribute to his family’s business and contribute to America through crop production. Cara is an Area Sales Manager for LG Seeds covering 9 different sales managers in Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri.

We love to travel. Some of our most favorite memories are from the various trips we have taken. Exploring new places, eating new foods, and finding new favorite locations are at the top of the list of things we love to do together. Our favorite trip was to Ireland. Ireland is beyond breathtaking. To this day, we cannot wait to go back.

In everyday life, our ideal night would be watching a new or classic movie and putting together a puzzle while making sure our yellow Labrador, Rizzo, doesn’t try to eat any of the pieces. Separately, we enjoy having individual hobbies. Sam loves sports, especially Chicago sports. Cara spends free time reading and crocheting, creating blankets for family and friends.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
— Jeremiah 29:11

Home Sweet Home

Our home is a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom tri level style house originally built in the 1970’s on 1 acre.

We have an open concept kitchen and living room, making it easy to spend time with each other while going about daily tasks. We fell in love with this house and put an offer on it within hours of seeing it. Not only did the open front yard with beautiful fruit trees and warm feeling of the house make us feel instantly at home, the neighborhood is a true neighborhood. Our subdivision puts on block parties, cookouts, and Christmas light competitions. Most of all, we feel safe and secure in our home as well as our neighborhood.

We love spending time with our nieces

We love spending time with our nieces

Family is very important to us

Our families live close which allows us to be with them for holidays, events, birthdays, and weekend gatherings.

Both of our extended families are very close. We are lucky to have our immediate family in our lives as well as grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We also have two sweet nieces that we love to spend time with whenever we can.

Our friends are our family as well. Have you ever looked at your friends and wondered, how did I get so lucky? We feel like that all the time. From the moment we told each of them about our desire to have adopt, they have had nothing but support. We have dinner parties, get togethers on every holiday, and going to any sporting event we can find.

In Closing,

Thank you for taking a moment to learn more about us.

You and your baby are going to be a blessing to this world and whichever family you choose. Your baby is a part of who you are. We will be devoted to teaching your baby where they come from, who you are, and how much love was given in the decision of adoption. We want you to have a connection with your baby as they grow and flourish.

We want you to know we can never fully understand the emotions you are feeling, but we believe you are an incredible person. Your baby would not just be loved by us, but by our family, friends, and a yellow dog named Rizzo. Above all, we want you to know that we will love your child with all that we have. We will be devoted to providing joy, security, and raising your child with understanding.

So, sweet friend. Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading this profile. We hope to be lucky enough to meet you.
